How long have you been flying or working in aviation?
I have been flying and working in aviation for 8 years now!

Where do you live?
Kalispell, Montana.

Which of Sol’s core values do you try to model into your work?
For sure integrity.

How did this opportunity with Sol find its way to you?
I’ve known about Sol for several years as I was working through my certificates and ratings.  It was finally just the right time to apply.

What excites you most about the work Sol is doing?
Getting to operate awesome aircraft all over North American in diverse environments.

How do you think Sol sets itself apart from other aviation companies?
Sol sets themselves a part in every category.  Their safety, culture and maintenance protocols are unmatched in the industry.  it was the only aerial survey company I considered working for.

What is your favorite airport to land at or one you are looking forward to landing at?
I was fortunate enough to be able to fly a Cessna 172 across the Atlantic recently to Narsaruaq, Greenland.  It will always be my top 3 airports.

What about Sol made you decide to work here?
Sol allows me to have a work-life balance, fly great planes all over the country and be treated very well not only as a pilot but just as an employee in general.  I love how much Sol cares about their employees.

Favorite season of the year?
Fall in Montana is hard to beat.

What are the first three things on your bucket list?
1. Get my tailwheel endorsement.

2.  Seaplane rating

3. Get type rated in a DC-3.

Who or what inspires you to keep going?
Aviation is what I love.  I’ve had countless people help me get to where I am and I can’t wait to be able to pass that on to others one day.

Are you a “jump out of bed” kind of person or a “five more minutes” specialist?
If I get to fly, I’m a jumping out a bed.

Do you have any fun nicknames?
Naturally A-Aron!

Is there something you can’t live without?
Every great thing in aviation has happened to me because of the kindness and generosity of someone else.  There is a very long list of friends and mentors that have helped me get to where I am today.  My family is also critical to allowing me to pursue this career.  Without them, I would not be able to live this great life.
