Where do you live?

How long have you been flying or working in Aviation?
I’ve been flying for about 6 years now and working as a pilot for a year and a half

What do you like most about your job?
The ability to fly cool planes while getting to see travel all of the country

What inspired you to choose this career path?
My dad was in the Navy and we lived in Norfolk, VA by the navy base when I was little. I became obsessed with all the jets and the jet noise from a very young age and was dead set on being a pilot ever since.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
A day on the lake with all my friends

What excites you about our work?
The room for personal growth and our always improving fleet

Favorite cuisine?
Mexican Food

What makes Sol stand out from the competition?
Listening to their employees and setting up each other for success

What are the first three things on your bucket list?
Fly a fighter jet, own a Blackstone Grill, get good enough at guitar to be in an old man jam band

What are your future ambitions?
To be an airline pilot

What is one moment in your life that you would want to relive?
Atlanta Braves winning the World Series

What or who is your inspiration? Why so?
My dad. He has taught me to work hard and to be disciplined and motivated while always making time for your family.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED PILOTS
Join Our Team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • FAA Commercial Multi-Engine
  • FAA Instrument Rating (Current and proficient)
  • High Performance Endorsement
  • Complex Endorsement
  • First Class or Second Class Medical
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current passport with at least six-months of validity remaining at time of employment.
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to travel freely within the United States and without restriction to all countries Sol Aerial Survey serves
  • 450 Total Time in an Aircraft
  • 80 hours of MEL at time of hire (This is an insurance requirement and cannot be waived)
  • FCC Radio License
  • Multi Engine Night Current and proficient at time of hire
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Fly planes located anywhere in the lower 48 or Canada
  • Operate Multi-Engine Aircraft Single Pilot
  • Manage the aircrafts movements and airports cross country
  • Maintain a clean internal and external aircraft
  • Complete daily forms about aircraft and plane condition
  • Work with Flight Operations and in house Maintenance team on decision making
  • Work with maintenance facilities throughout the country to maintain a safe aircraft
  • Work above 8,000’ AGL Including Class A
  • Flights as long as 8 hours over large metropolitan areas
  • Navigate high traffic airspaces, restricted and prohibited airspace and the SFRA
  • Eat lots of Chipotle (Probably)
