Sol Aerial Surveys Team

President and Owner

How long have you been flying or working in aviation?
I have been flying for 12 years.

Where do you live?
Las Vegas, Nevada.

What makes Sol a standout place to lead a team?
One of the things that impresses me the most about our team is the drive that everyone has. I am grateful to lead such hard working people.

Which of Sol’s core values do you try to model into your leadership style?
“The Little Things Matter”  – If you can’t do the little things right, how can you do the big things right?

How did this opportunity with Sol find its way to you?
Sol found me after years of envisioning in my head.  I took the leap of faith on March 27th, 2018 and bought our first aircraft and Sol was born.

What excites you most about the work Sol is doing?
I love building things and solving problems.  The future of our industry is very exciting and we are just scratching the surface of our potential.

How do you think Sol sets itself apart from other aviation companies?
We continue to innovate.  There is not a day that goes by that we don’t ask ourselves “how can we do this better”

Where is your favorite place that you have traveled to for work?
Kalispell, Montana. The views are incredible, and the clear air cannot be beat.

What is the coolest airport that you have landed at for work?
GJT – Grand Junction, CO. The terrain is pretty, and you are surrounded by it.

Favorite season of the year?
Summer.  I like the long days and warm weather.

What about Sol made you decide to work here?
I wanted to create a business that made everyone proud to work for it. I am proud of that.

What are the first three things on your bucket list?
Go to space, own my own Chipotle, and leave the world better than I found it.

Who or what inspires you to keep going?
Being better than the person I was yesterday.  That keeps me going every day.

Are you a “jump out of bed” kind of person or a “five more minutes” specialist?
I jump out of bed.  The day waits for no one!

Do you have any fun nicknames?
No really anymore, but in college my nickname was “wildcard”.  Not really sure why but it stuck after a few weeks on the rugby team.

Is there something you can’t live without?
Chipotle.
